TOLM Group partnered with Central Arkansas Water to rehabilitate Pump Station No. 1A at the Jack H. Wilson Treatment Plant. The project focused on modernizing critical pumping infrastructure, improving operational reliability, and extending the service life of the existing facility while minimizing disruptions to drinking water operations.

The project included the replacement of five pumping units, motors, and associated electrical control equipment, along with significant structural and building improvements. Additional work included rehabilitation of bridge crane support pilasters, improvements to crane runway beams, extension of the existing mezzanine, roof repairs, enhanced emergency egress, and upgrades to the building’s ventilation system.

A major challenge was the limited timeframe available to complete the pump replacements. All existing pumping units were required to remain operational until October 1, 2018, with replacements and associated electrical upgrades restricted to a designated construction window ending March 15, 2019. This required careful planning, construction sequencing, and coordination with Central Arkansas Water to minimize service disruptions while meeting strict operational and water quality requirements.

Through coordinated mechanical, electrical, and structural improvements, TOLM helped modernize this essential pumping facility, strengthening its long-term reliability and supporting Central Arkansas Water’s continued delivery of safe, dependable drinking water to the communities it serves.
